Design of the Silver Kangaroo Coin
The 1 Ounce Silver Kangaroo Coin is designed to be aggressively priced, with quality superior to the popular Silver Maple Leaf coin. Dimensionally, this coin has a diameter of 40.6 millimeters and a thickness of 2.98 millimeters, struck in 99.99% pure silver. The obverse features an image of Queen Elizabeth II, by master sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, with a face value of one Australian dollar.
The reverse features an attractive red kangaroo, symbolizing the uniqueness of Australian wildlife. The design is different every year and each year has a different appearance. Incorporated into “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” and in small lettering to verify the authentication is a micro-laser engraved letter, visible under magnification only.
A silver Kangaroo coin is currently available in 1 oz. format; it is also available in tubes of 25 pieces and monster boxes containing 250 coins.
